They're also chasing bright shiny things down rabbit holes - and rabbit holes don’t make you time or money (believe me I’ve tried).

I’ve done exactly this
I started my first business 11 years ago. It was the first business of its kind in Australia, so that was a problem in itself.
However, I had an even bigger problem… I had zero profile, zero marketing budget and zero business experience.
The one thing I DID have was me - so I set about building my brand in order to build the brand of the business.
Thankfully, my plan worked.
Growing my profile in order to grow the profile of the business changed the game: we hit $1m of revenue in our first year, and my team and I were cemented as the go-to experts in the emerging digital influencer space.
However, it also changed my life. That focus enabled me to build that awardwinning first business (with absolutely no marketing budget), publish four books, host a podcast for the last four years.
I also got to have incredible pinch-me life experiences, like spending a week on Necker Island with Sir Richard Branson, being flown to exotic locations as a paid speaker, and attending conferences all over the world.
In 2017, I took a punt on Brand Lorraine and sold that first business in order to focus full-time on my writing, mentoring and creating online products.
This second business now enables me to work with hundreds of entrepreneurs at a time and have handsome monthly recurring revenue, while getting to be in my happy place of creating… and working from anywhere in the world (right now I’m living the Euro dream in Spain with my family).
On the way over the last 11 years, I’ve figured out a LOT: what was worth investing time in, and what was a spectacular waste of time. I navigated all the mindset hurdles - self-doubt, imposter syndrome. You name it, I’ve had it.
Eventually, I created my own model for what an effective personal brand business looks like.

Week 1: Strategy
It can be mindblowingly overwhelming to figure out how to design or scale your personal brand business. Between delivering to existing clients, having NFI what your next steps should be, and potentially the crushing comparisonitis on what peers might be doing... it's no wonder many personal brand businesses stay on the hamster wheel of same-same for years.
I'll share with you the strategic model that I’ve built my business on. This will give you instant clarity, and a clear roadmap to grow your business - in a way that's authentic to you and the life you want to lead.
Week 2: Mindset
The biggest block to most people in showing up more visibly in the world is self-doubt. And more specifically, imposter syndrome. Too many women think small and play small when it comes to showing up in the world - this is not for you anymore!
I’m joined by clinical hypnotherapist Rachel Crethar, who will address the most common mindset blocks keeping you stuck. She'll also guide you through a specific hypnosis to help you feel more confident and comfortable being seen in the world.
Week 3: Brand
One of my earliest lessons in business: “everything communicates”! How you present your brand carries a message to your potential customers - and that message will either be a strong yes to work with you… or a hard pass.
In this session, I step through the key boxes you need to tick in order to communicate your brand with clarity, and enable you to stand out from the crowd. You'll get clarity on how you want to show up in the world, and clear next steps to action.
Week 4: Products I - Online Programs
An online offer is a superb way to package up your IP into an infinitely scalable revenue stream, however figuring out your offer - and how to sell it - can lead you down endless rabbit holes. Lack of clarity is the No.1 block to creating and growing your online products.
I’m joined this week by Jaclyn Carlson - a pioneering veteran of the digital product space, launch strategist, coach and founder of Blog Society. Jaclyn will be sharing how we go about creating, marketing and selling online products - and how we can find the right “suite” of products for our businesses.
Week 5: Products II - One-On-One/High Ticket
One-on-one mentoring was the first revenue stream I offered within my personal brand business - and as I love it so much! - I still offer it today. One-on-one offers are often the first starting point for a personal brand business, however - if not managed effectively - they can become at best time-consuming and at worst draining and unprofitable.
Over the years, my one-on-one offers have become more refined and tailored to my dream client, as well becoming more profitable and highly leveraged for my time. This week I share my behind-the-scenes secrets of how I work with my one-on-one clients - including attracting them, onboarding them, working with them, and transitioning them to higher priced offers.
Week 6: Marketing I - Email
One of the greatest mistakes I see entrepreneurs making is failing to grow and effectively leverage the powerful channel that is their email lists. In fact, they often completely ignore them! If I had a dollar for every business owner who has an email newsletter they've yet to send...
This week I pass on my greatest lessons from the world of email marketing - from finding your voice and the right email software to how to write emails that nurture, engage and sell. Expect to feel clear, confident and equipped to focus on this critical marketing channel.
Week 7: Marketing II - Instagram
Instagram is probably the most potent social channel for your personal brand business… and it can also be the most infuriating! From how to present yourself, to how to leverage the many tools... it can feel like a minefield.
Brooke Vulinovich is my go-to for all things Insta-related. She is an Instagram coach, global speaker and creator of the Social Club Community. Brooke will be teaching you how to actually set up your Instagram to sell effectively, and her top strategies for Insta success.
Week 8: Marketing III - Podcasting
Podcasting is the most intimate, trust-building platform in my opinion, and my own podcast has generated well over six figures of revenue for my business. Making the leap to start or grow a show of your own can be a daunting exercise, and is laden with questions on content/tech/support.
This week I’ll share my must-dos and don’t dos on launching a podcast, and give you the tools to launch with ease and confidence. I'll also share the secrets of a winning pitch to appear on someone else's podcast (I've gotten hundreds of pitches for my show - so I know what stands out... and what bombs).
Week 9: Systems
Systems are what makes your business bigger than you - and they need constant focus to enable your business to grow seamlessly. They're also one of the biggest pain points for personal brand businesses - no-one started their business to write operations manuals!!
I’m joined by admin guru Lee Doherty, who’ll be teaching you the core systems your business MUST have, and how to take the pain away from everyday business tasks with automation.
Week 10: Support
Behind every success story is a support story. However finding the right support for your business can feel like finding a needle in a haystack. And every day you don't have support, you're not operating at your most potent.
This week, I step you through how to build the support team that will enable you to operate in your zone of genius 80% of the time in your business. I’ll share how to work with a VA, and you’ll also meet my Operations Manager Sam, who will spill the beans on the back end of my business!
